  • What is a Call-Back? An invitation to return for a second audition.

  • What if you can't make the audition? We will send you a dance to learn via video and you will have to submit your audition via video. Deadline to submit your video will be July 10th.  We will be looking for the same technique, showmanship, and energy on your video submission as we will be looking for in group auditions.

  • Why are we doing video auditions? 1st and foremost is to see your level of commitment. We are looking for dancers who are passionate about dance and will make time to learn the dance and submit video. This also shows us, that during the dance year, we can trust that you are practicing at home and not just at studio.

We offer a Petite Company and 3 Divisions: Division 1 being the beginner-intermediate level with the lowest level of requirements, and Division 3 being our most advance with the highest level of requirements. Competitions and Conventions

A dance competition is an opportunity for the dancers to perform their routines. These typically take place over a weekend BUT sometimes begin on Friday evenings, and this last year some started in the early afternoon.  If a competition schedules us on a Friday, we will be told a minimum of 2 weeks prior. At competitions, dancers are expected to arrive early and stay for awards (no exceptions). Dancers are also encouraged to watch and support their fellow teammates.

A dance convention is a weekend long dance workshop with multiple classes on different styles of dance. This offers dancers an opportunity to learn from a variety of professionals in the dance industry. Dancers get better at conventions. It exposes them to new styles of dance and is taught at a fast pace. At conventions, dancers are expected to attend and stay for the entire convention (no exceptions).

Travel Company requires dancers to commit 100%. Students and parents interested in Company participation must also recognize the expectations related to attitude. As members of our team, Company members and their parents are expected to support and encourage each other and to exhibit impeccable sportsmanship at all times. Our students -- without exception -- are expected to treat each other, their teachers, parents, competition judges and fellow students from other studios with the highest level of respect. Winning trophies is nice, but representing ourselves with class and dignity is an absolute requirement.

Participation in Company is a great deal of fun, but it requires a significant commitment to dance and a good deal of extra time and effort. Taking a dance class is the same as participating in any other extracurricular activity. Being a Company member is like being on a select sports team, and requires a sincere commitment to the team.

Both students and parents should decide if they have the time to commit to the Dance Company. No matter how talented a student is, if they don't have time to put dance first, and if they don't have enough parental support, they may be better in the studios recreational dance classes.

Commitment to Company will be July 2022-July 2023.

NEW THIS YEAR: Requirements for a soloist:

  • Solos are approved based on the dancers maturity and commitment to practice on their own

  • Dancers who do not retain group choreography, will not be permitted to do solo, duets or trios.

  • Solos are given 2 hours to learn choreography. Any additional rehearsals are additional and requires addition fees.
